First State Community Bank (FSCB) is pleased to announce the appointments of Paul Grindstaff III and Joe Miller to its Board of Directors, effective January 30, 2025.

Paul Grindstaff III joins the Board with a rich history of community service and extensive banking experience. Paul's long-standing family connection to FSCB further strengthens his dedication to the bank's mission and values. Grindstaff is the grandson of former Chairman Bill Cooper and the son of current Vice Chairman Terri Grindstaff.

Grindstaff joined FSCB in May 2010 to continue his family's involvement in the bank. During his 14 years with FSCB, he has held positions in credit administration, loan review, financial analysis, and shareholder relations.

He and his wife, Ashley, have four daughters, ages 5 to 13. He is highly involved in his children's lives and activities. He enjoys traveling with his family, exposing them to different cultures and experiences.

"I am very proud of this opportunity to assist an organization that is so community-focused," says Grindstaff. "One of my goals is to continue to fulfill a statement by my grandfather, Bill Cooper. 'Let's build this bank to outlast us all.' I look forward to continuing to serve and bringing this statement to life."

Serving the community is essential to Grindstaff. He is a member of Farmington's Tourism Board and the Kiwanis Club. He attends church at Parkland Chapel and serves as a Living Well Project board member.

Joe Miller, recently named President of FSCB, brings a wealth of Missouri banking experience to the Board. With a distinguished career of 37 years in banking, Joe has served as Market

President in the Central Missouri region of FSCB, later transitioning to regional president with responsibilities over the Marshall, Boonville, Columbia, Mexico, Moberly, and Macon markets. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to the community.

"When I joined the FSCB family in 2016, I knew I had found the place where I would spend the remainder of my career. I have been blessed to work at some incredible financial institutions and organizations. Still, the culture in this organization is like no other. The true definition of a company is built around the people that make up that company, and that is the case with FSCB," Miller said of his new position.

In addition to serving customers, Miller has served the community through many organizations, including the Southern Boone Board of Education, Columbia Area Boys and Girls Club, Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Eagle Foundation, Southern Boone Jaycees, Love Columbia, United Way, United Community Builders, and Ashland Optimist Club.

Joe has been married to Tammy for 34 years. They have three children: a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and three grandchildren.

"We are confident that both Paul and Joe will be invaluable additions to our Board," said Chairman of the Board Greg Allen. "Their expertise and commitment will undoubtedly help us continue to strengthen our presence as a leading community bank in Missouri.”
